What I might love most about traveling is observing the fashion of other countries. I'm ready for that again! My favorite fashion detail in China was how often women traveled on bikes and mopeds in dresses and heals. Hot! Can't wait to see what Japan has in store for my eyes. These images are from the famous Sartorialist blog. The Sartorialist is a fashion photographer who travels all over the world all the time glamourously attending runway shows and checking out little boutiques for inspiration. His blog documents street fashion that strikes him as excellent.
I think his blog is very sexy, subtle, and inspiring. Check out his portraits! [link]

I moved and I love it.
This is my current feeling based on the facts that this week I have moved into a beautiful new house, am visting DC tomorrow for two days to see art museums with my grandparents, am getting an interview for a Japan teaching job in NYC on Saturday, and am flying to Tokyo to visit my friend Yoriko on Sunday!

new art I own

I just bought this wonderful photograph from my photographer friend Annie Huntington. That's her with the dark hair, second to the left. I grew up with this family. I can't wait to frame it and hang it on my wall!

vietnamese food!
Life in South Philly is so incredibly interesting. There are so many different cultures here, and the Vietnamese one is especially vibrant. Today for lunch I walked a block away to my favorite restaurant called Nam Phong, where I ordered a vanilla egg soda and a crepe filled with egg and sprouts with sides of basil and pickled carrots and parsnips. It was delicious.

sibs
Went home for a couple days for Christmas. The other five siblings and I were altogether for the first time this year! That's Pax I'm standing next to. He's a special one.
